Finding Acceptance

Thank God I found SandyTheWondermom's account. It was a light on my path. I saw how happy one can be.

“In 2021, after a previous miscarriage, my daughter was born. Mariam Guadalupe was born prematurely and during labor they told me about a possible diagnosis of trisomy 21. A few days later they confirmed it. To be honest, I felt like I was dying of pain, anguish, guilt, etc. I feared that my life was over.

This was all a result of my ignorance And of what society thinks of babies with disabilities. It took me a while, but I found acceptance. But Sandy and her family were a big part of it.

Thank God that I found SandyTheWondermom's account. It was a light on my path, I saw how happy one can be, I saw Mara so beautiful, and happy and they gave me hope. They inspired me on my way. I accepted my situation and got to work.

Mariam has come a long way thanks to the permanent injection of positive energy, self-care, and scientific information that I received from Sandy and her family's account. They are all part of my family and part of Mariam's development. Without that light, I do not know where we would be.

Thank you,

my beautiful and dear Sandy.

🌹 We love you.
