The Expectation Reset is a reminder that we must all try to control the natural desire to compare our children to others. Each child is a unique being with their own set of strengths and potential hurdles. Each child does develop on their own and we must not compare on to another.
At the same time, “on their own schedule” does not mean that we ren tools to be prepared to succeed when there are ready. Because we are missing a gift to give to our children if they do not have the necessary tools when they are ready.
